Momentum, Inc. sponsored the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes^® group in the Camp Hill Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 28, 2012.  The Walk a Mile in Her Shoes^® event is an opportunity for men to literally walk for one mile wearing women’s shoes in order to raise awareness about the issue of domestic violence and help men better understand and appreciate women’s experiences.

The event raised over $2000 for Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties.

Walkers in the group agreed that it was a playful way to help raise awareness in the community about the serious causes and effects of violence against women.
