What is Quality Assurance? Quality Assurance (QA) is the discipline that proactively establishes procedures that ensure quality and avoid problems. It provides the evidence needed to ensure that quality-related activities are being performed effectively and encompasses all planned or systematic actions necessary to provide adequate confidence that a service will satisfy given quality requirements. For products, quality assurance is an external, fact-based assurance that a product meets needs, expectations, and other quality requirements. Ultimately, this assurance ensures confidence in customers and stakeholders.
